Karooooo Logistics operates through two primary platforms:
Business Information: Company name, business registration details, authorised representative information, billing addresses, and contact information.
User Information: Name, identity number, email address, physical, postal and addresses, contact information, and banking details for payment processing.
Order Data: Delivery requests, recipient information, service preferences, order history, and delivery instructions placed through our Enterprise Web Platform.
Business Client Data: Information about your customers (recipients of deliveries), including names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, and delivery preferences that you provide to us for delivery purposes. Calls and messages between your customers and our drivers or support teams may be recorded for support purposes, service quality, and complaint resolution. We may also collect photos, signatures, or other confirmation data upon delivery completion as required by you or for proof of delivery.
Web Usage Data: Information about pages visited on our platform, traffic patterns, and browsing behavior for service improvement.
Device Information: IP address, browser type, system version, and other technical data when accessing our Enterprise Web Platform.
Driver Information: Name, identity number, email address, phone number, driver’s license details, vehicle information, and banking details for payment processing.
Location Information: Your precise location is continuously tracked while using the Picup Driver App to:
Device Information: This includes IP address, microphone information, CPU status, memory status, battery status, system version, phone model, phone signal level, received signal strength indicator (RSSI), network type, user attributes and channel attributes.
Performance Data: Delivery completion rates, customer ratings, earnings history, and other service metrics.
Call Information: Information relating to the date, time and duration of calls made through the app, including communications with dispatch or customers.
Correspondence: Audio and written correspondence generated during communications via the app’s messaging or VOIP services.
Call Logs: Server logs generated by our service providers when processing orders on their systems.
Communication Records: Records of customer support interactions for business clients and drivers.
Legal and Compliance Data: Information required for regulatory compliance, tax purposes, and other legal obligations.
To Karooooo Logistics: Driver location data is continuously shared with us while the Picup Driver App is active to enable service delivery , operational support and quality monitoring.
To Businesses: Real-time driver location is shared with businesses that placed orders enabling delivery tracking and estimated arrival times via our Enterprise Web Platform.
To Business Clients’ Customers: Driver location may be shared with your customers (delivery recipients) when:
For Drivers: Location tracking is essential for using the Picup Driver App and cannot be disabled while you are actively providing delivery services. You can control location sharing by logging out of the app when you are not rendering services.
For Businesses: You can control whether your customers receive location tracking information for deliveries you place by adjusting the relevant settings in your Enterprise Web Platform account.

Business Information to Drivers: We share the delivery details necessary to complete and order, including pickup and delivery addresses, and contact information to enable service completion. This may include your customers’ contact information when needed for delivery coordination, and only for the duration of the relevant order.
Customer Information Sharing: The customer contact and delivery details you provide to us are shared with drivers only as needed to complete specific deliveries. This may include sharing phone numbers for delivery coordination, limited to the duration of the relevant order.
Service Providers: We may disclose your personal information to approved service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, mapping, and customer support. These providers are not permitted to use your personal information for any purposes other than providing these services.
Partners: We may share your personal information with business partners who contract with us to provide integrated logistics services. These partners act as data controllers and have their own privacy policies.
Affiliates: We may share your personal information with Karooooo Logistics subsidiaries and affiliates whose use of your information is subject to this privacy policy.
